In “Roots Revealed: Capturing the Unseen”, I turn my lens toward a part of plants that is often overlooked: their roots. This photo series reveals the hidden world beneath the surface, where houseplants slowly extend their roots into water—seeking support, sustenance, and life.

By growing the plants in water, a rare perspective emerges: one that exposes the intricate beauty and organic patterns of root systems normally buried in soil. Their winding forms, delicate textures, and sculptural qualities take center stage.

With this series, I aim not only to evoke wonder at the quiet strength of growth, but also to highlight the magic of nature itself. It’s almost enchanting how a small cutting can replicate itself simply by placing it in water. That simplicity, paired with the complexity of the life it generates, invites admiration and reflection on the unseen processes both in nature and within ourselves.
